A little break from reality...

Nothing interesting to report, so I thought I would spend this time posting some pics of Paul and I as South Park figures. Cool, huh? When the boys saw these, they started laughing. It really does look just like us!

Summer Cleaning

I am having to downsize. I am sacrificing half of my work room for Noah. He will get his bed, dresser and some toys in half and I will keep my desk and shelving unit for my schtuff. Guess I will be moving to the dining room table when I need more space! We are looking for a larger house but don't want to change areas so this could take a while. In the meantime, I am trying to get rid of pieces that have been lingering about. Also, the several half finished pieces will now be finished up before I even start on a new canvas! Soooo, if you are interested in some new pieces for yourself or a little gift, have a look at my ebay listings. You never know what you might find! Here are a couple of pieces currently listed. The Perfect Day ?

My day started like this: I got up at the usual time and tidied up from the evening before. After putting Noah down for a nap at 11, a friend came over and we snacked on cranberry orange bread and rose tea outside on the deck as the weather here has been as close to perfect as possible. After the baby woke up 2 1/2 hours later, the other two came home from school and we relaxed outside with fruit and juice. Around 5, hubby came home with these beautiful roses. Now, if you know him, you know that this is totally unlike him. He is not the romantic type nor is he the give-flowers-for-no-reason type, so I was completely floored.

Oh, and he also brought this with him too...

I am savouring every minute of yesterday as it will be a few years before he does this again. :)

a little progress everyday...

Man, I work slow. I wake up in the morning with a list of all the things I am going to accomplish art wise and end up with something one fourth finished. I have had a little time to play with my Gocco though and made some personalized stationary however, I have no idea when I will actually use these...

On another note, just finished hanging up some fixtures to keep all of our shoes in by the front door. I was in need of some new art but couldn't seem to figure out what I was going to put there. I decided I would take a trip to Ikea and buy a frame and then make something to fit it. I ended up buying a finished framed trio of sepia prints that looked like this out of the frame:

If you know me, then you know that I can not have a mass produced poster on my walls, so I thought with a little work, I could make it into something one-of-a-kind. This is what I ended up with:
